    Position located at Yale New Haven Hospital

     

    JOB SUMMARY: The primary function of Nurse Practitioner  & Physician Assistant is to provide comprehensive care to inpatients in collaboration with Attending physicians. Each NP or PA has a designated supervising/collaborating physician. Duties include, but are not limited to, admissions, subsequent care and discharges. NP's & PA's  are also responsible for ordering and analyzing tests, communication with consultants and coordinating care for a panel of patients.  Pay is very competitive and benefits are excellent.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art degree and graduation from an accredited master’s degree NP or PA program required. Certified as a NP by the ANCC.

     

    EXPERIENCE: New grads considered, one (1) to two (2) years caring for hospitalized patients preferred.

     

    SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent clinical, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

     

    LICENSURE: Both hold a valid Connecticut medical license, Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration and Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification
