    Responsible for translating NEMG strategic goals and objectives into operational initiatives from an overall planning, financial, and organizational effectiveness perspective. The director will create, prioritize, direct, and oversee operational/critical initiatives. This position supports the VP in special projects as assigned. The Director will work closely with Finance, Operations, and Physicians. Responsible for monthly financial and market analyses. Works closely with Administration to identify metrics, best practices, and develop recommendations for improvement. The Director is instrumental in the functions and activities of the executive management team.

    Responsibilities

    • 1. Supports the VP to ensure high quality services, operational efficiency, budgeted financial performance, and high patient physician satisfaction.
    • 2. Support NEMG goals and corporate objectives, contribute to achieving goals and provide quantitative support for progress towards goals.
    • 3. Develop standards and methods for the review and reporting of practice activities as they relate to critical operational management, financial, and statistical information. Ensure compliance with these standards.
    • 4. Participation in the development and recommendation of business plans, goals, and objectives for the assigned departments and projects.
    • 5. Assists in the implantation of NEMG business and strategic financial and operational plans as appropriate to support NEMG operations.
    • 6. Monitor and evaluate effective staffing systems to assure appropriate staffing, make recommendations for changes, assist in development of staffing budgets.
    • 7. Review and make recommendations concerning equipment, facilities, new construction, and need for new equipment and services.
    • 8. Supports the VP in leading and overseeing the development of annual regional and divisional and operating and capital budgets for CEO review and approval.
    • 9. Supports the VP in developing clinical, performance, and operational benchmarks and achieves performance improvement goals and initiatives established for NEMG.
    • 10. Self-motivated to assume responsibility for and oversee successful execution of operational and special projects and initiatives in tandem with and in collaboration with the VP.
    • 11. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across the organization, sharing best practices to achieve excellent customer service, patient and staff safety, clinical quality, financial and operational performance.
    • 12. Establish credibility, personally and professionally, across the NEMG organization through collaboration, visibility, relationship building and effective leadership.

    • 14. Work in a matrix structure to integrate NEMG physicians and APCs that work within hospital structure with emphasis on improving and maintaining employee engagement, meeting clinical and business goals.
    • 15. Work collaboratively with system service line leaders to achieve service line goals and objectives.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION


    Bachelors degree in a related field required, Advanced degree strongly preferred, e.g. Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration.


    EXPERIENCE


    A minimum of five years in a large group practice setting. Significant business and financial experience gained in a complex healthcare setting, preferably an integrated health system.


    SPECIAL SKILLS


    A proven track record in project management. Ability to understand the concept and work through implementation. A skilled communicator.


    PHYSICAL DEMAND


    MMR is required. Varivax (chicken pox vaccine) or evidence of prior chicken pox is required. Hepatitis B (or signed declination) is required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids.
    Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged.
