Under the direction of the Clinical Director, Northeast Purchasing Coalition, and NPC Clinical Nurse Researcher will provide clinical and analytical support to the Northeast Purchasing Coalition. This person functions as a member of an interdisciplinary team supporting Northeast Purchasing Coalition, LLC (NPC) entities and throughout other Vizient Networks, as directed. They will assist management in defining, measuring, monitoring and achieving operational objectives. They will function as an internal consultant to both management and Contract Specialists relative to process, achieving outcomes and continuous improvement. Project tasks include establishing, coordinating and maintaining project pipelines and plans, supporting project charter and governance process, data analysis, meeting coordination and communication, presentation preparation, meeting minutes, tracking follow up actions, escalation of issues and active participation in suggesting and implementing solutions. This person has the ability to utilize clinical and financial analytics, evidence based product information, and contract and value based strategies, as aligned with the mission of the NPC in order to facilitate clinical and physician supply chain initiatives. The person must be able to support the clinical and contracting aspects of supply chain projects, interpret and communicate findings, make recommendations, and work with clinical, financial, operational and supply chain individuals as well as clinicians and physicians in Subject Matter Expert (SME) roles in a team setting across the Coalition and its member organizations. The ideal candidate needs strong oral and written communication and clinical analytic skills in terms of analysis and presentation.. The person needs to be able to synthesize complex clinical information into a cohesive summary for both clinicians and non-clinicians. The candidate must be able to work independently and provide clinical consultation as directed with regard to supply chain initiatives conducted by the NPC throughout member organizations as well as throughout the various regional Vizient Networks and Coalitions. Serves as a subject matter expert in the realm of project management.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, or Business required. Master's degree in related field (e.g. Business, Clinical Research, Outcomes Research, Statistics, Nursing, Business/ Public/Health care Administration etc.) highly preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years healthcare experience required. Clinical and financial analysis exposure required.
LICENSURE
Project, Lean, Six sigma certification preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Clinical and financial analytic skills required. Ability to work independently, teach complex concepts, and consults on management of supply chain and clinical utilization initiatives. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
