Reports directly the Executive Director and is the Regions lead administrative officer. Reporting directly to this position is the Practice Operations Supervisor and Practice Coordinators.
Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director, key members of health system administration, and key physicians in the region to handle the day-to-day operational and strategic management of the Region.

Responsibilities

  • 1. OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
    • 1.1 Oversees the direction and execution of operational plans and performance through the Practice Operations Supervisor and the Practice Coordinators .
  • 2. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
    • 2.1 In conjunction with the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer, assures the overall financial success of the organization
  • 3. PLANNING
    • 3.1 Develops plans for advancing the business interests of the entity, including strategic planning, expansion of services, revenue enhancement and cost control.
  • 4. HUMAN RESOURCES AND PERSONNEL
    • 4.1 Assesses organizational human resources needs and works closely with the Human Resources Department to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • 5. MANAGED CARE
    • 5.1 Collaborates with NEMG CFO, Executive Director and Health System contracting resource regarding the negotiation ,contracting and implementation of managed care contracts, credentialing, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION


Bachelors Degree in Business Admin or Healthcare Admin required. Masters degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration strongly preferred.


EXPERIENCE


Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated leadership/supervisory/management experience required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience within a large multi-specialty physician group practice, academic affiliated practice, or similar complex healthcare environment required

SPECIAL SKILLS


Knowledge of the principles and practices of healthcare planning and physician practice management sufficient to manage, direct and coordinate the operation of a large region of a multi-specialty physician group practice. Knowledge of the medical environment, physician group practice, managed care, healthcare contracting and regulations, and operational systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills that foster trust, clear vision, mutual respect
Knowledge of computer based information systems. Excellent communication skills. Ability to manage and remain effective with multiple priorities. Ability to implement and support change as required. PHYSICAL DEMAND


MMR is required. Varivax (chicken pox vaccine) or evidence of prior chicken pox is required. Hepatitis B (or signed declination) is required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids.
Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged.
